The Problem
Most owners have more numbers than ever — sales reports, spreadsheets, accounting exports, a CRM full of untapped information. The data are all there, but the questions that keep you up at night go unanswered:
Data-Driven Management. You need someone who can look at your numbers and tell you what to do about them.
And before anyone touches your numbers, they should understand how your business actually runs. That's where Victor starts.
What Victor Does
Victor Long has spent his career running operations and building the analysis they ran on. The credentials are real — MBA, CMA, a UT Austin data science certificate — but the job has always been the same: turn the numbers into a decision.
Along the way, Victor learned what sets him apart: every person in a company needs different answers from the same data. The owner, the ops manager, the bookkeeper — Victor builds for all of them, in plain English.
Comprehensive forecasting that reflects the dynamics of supply and demand—staff and stock to match what's actually coming, not what you hope for.
Use timely updates to your cashflow dashboard to avoid making costly mistakes because of poor timing.
Build a robust pricing model based on relevant internal and external factors — not gut feel.
Develop a deep understanding of your customers' journey and spot who's at risk of leaving before they're gone.
The Track Record
Victor has built forecasting models, pricing tools, and reporting systems across companies large and small — including as Chief Operating Officer of a small business, so he knows the constraints you work under.
Cut overdue receivables (invoices aging past 120 days) in half for New Horizons Computer Learning Centers' Enterprise Accounts group — real cash recovered.
Built Progressive Insurance's call-volume forecast so tight — a 0.99 correlation with reality — that staffing could be planned with confidence instead of over- or under-hiring.
Grew sales year over year with an ordering tool that told each retailer exactly what to reorder — and prevented stockouts.
Rebuilt a failing business intelligence system from a client grade of "D" into a trusted "B" on the Wisconsin Lottery's annual evaluation.
For ten years, Victor was general manager of IGT's contract with the Wisconsin Lottery — an end-to-end technology, operations, and analytics operation where a single failure could have stopped lottery sales statewide. His team supported 70 lottery employees and 3,800 retailers, each needing different answers from the same system. Year after year, Victor and his team earned mostly 5-out-of-5 scores on customer satisfaction surveys.
Credentials: MBA · Certified Management Accountant (CMA) · Post-Graduate Certificate in Data Science, University of Texas at Austin.
How It Works
Tell Victor the decisions you're trying to make and the data you already have. Messy spreadsheets are fine — that's the normal starting point.
Before any analysis, Victor spends time understanding how your company actually runs — who needs what answers, and how decisions really get made. Ten years managing a statewide operation taught him that's the step that makes everything else work.
He delivers the analysis and the recommendation — what to do, in plain language.
About Victor
I've spent my career in the operator's chair — call centers, underwriting, multi-state operations, and the COO seat at a small business. I learned early, documenting client workflows as a technology consultant, that the job isn't the technology — it's connecting what a business actually does with a solution that improves it.
For ten years I ran IGT's contract with the Wisconsin Lottery — data center, back office, retail network, warehouse, call center, marketing, and the analytics that tied it together — and my job was making sure every person who depended on that system got what they needed from it.
In every role, the same thing made the difference: turning messy data into a clear next move. Anyone can build a model. The real work is sitting across from an owner, understanding the P&L pressure you're under, and translating the numbers into a decision you can act on Monday morning. That's what I built this business to do.
