Interactive dashboards instead of static reports: Victor can turn spreadsheets and disconnected data sources into interactive dashboards you can click, filter, and drill into — so instead of asking someone to re-run a report with different parameters, you can explore the numbers yourself and get to the specific answer you need, when you need it.
Automatic alerts: Victor can set threshold-based alerts on key metrics (e.g., cash flow dipping below a set level, sales spiking or dropping, inventory running low) so the dashboard notifies the owner when something changes, rather than requiring them to check reports manually. For a small business owner juggling many roles, this turns monitoring into a background process. Alerts can be pushed to a smartphone app.
Cleaning and connecting messy data: Small businesses often have data scattered across accounting software, POS systems, spreadsheets, and CRMs, in formats that don't match. Victor will optimize the cleaning and merging of all your data. Depending on the consistency of the data sources, automation may be possible.
DAX-driven calculations that go beyond what a spreadsheet can do: Power BI's data modeling language (DAX) allows for calculations that account for context — trends over time, comparisons across categories, running totals — in ways that are difficult to maintain reliably in Excel formulas as a business grows.
Security and governance setup included, not left to chance. As part of any Power BI engagement, Victor will configure access controls that keep your data appropriately protected — row-level security so people see only what's relevant to them, workspace permissions so editing rights are limited to the right people, and sensitivity labeling for confidential data. Note: Sensitivity labeling requires coordination with your Microsoft administrator.

About Victor

Why I started Long Business Intelligence Solutions.

I've spent my career in the operator's chair — call centers, insurance underwriting, multi-state operations, and the COO seat at a small business. I learned early, documenting client workflows as a technology consultant, that the job isn't just the technology — it's connecting what a business actually does with a solution that improves it.

For ten years I ran IGT's contract with the Wisconsin Lottery — data center, back office, retail point-of-sale terminals and network, warehouse, call center, marketing, and the analytics that tied it together — and my job was making sure every person who depended on that system got what they needed from it.

In every role, the same question came first: what can this data actually tell us, and what can't it tell us? Anyone can build a model. The real work is sitting across from an owner, understanding the P&L pressure they're under, and figuring out honestly what the numbers can support before promising a path forward. That's what I built this business to do.
