FAQ
Questions owners ask before booking.
Straight answers about the free call, messy data, cost, and what Victor has actually done — so you know what you're walking into.
What does Long Business Intelligence Solutions do?
Long Business Intelligence Solutions turns the data a business already has — sales reports, accounting exports, spreadsheets, CRM records — into clear decisions about demand, staffing, pricing, cash flow, and customer retention. Victor Long, an operator with more than 15 years running businesses, plus an MBA, CMA, and a UT Austin data science certificate, does the analysis and delivers the recommendation in plain English.
What happens on the free strategy call?
You bring one business question that's bothering you — pricing, cash, staffing, inventory, anything. Victor asks how your business runs and what data you have. You leave knowing whether your data can answer the question and what he'd do to get there. No pitch deck, no obligation.
My data is a mess. Can you still work with it?
Yes — messy data is the normal starting point. Victor has built working systems from aging spreadsheets, underused CRMs, and raw accounting exports, including an Access database that cut 120-day-past-due receivables in half at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers. Cleaning and organizing the data is part of the work, not a prerequisite for it.
What if I don't have the data to answer my questions?
Every engagement starts with an exploratory data analysis (EDA) — a first look that determines what's possible with the data you have. If the EDA shows your data can't answer the questions we scoped, you can cancel with no further obligation.
Do I need special software or a data team?
No. Victor works in tools you likely already own — Excel, Access, your accounting system — and only recommends new software when the problem genuinely calls for it. At E-Lux Electric Bikes he ran forecasting, sales analysis, and a customer-experience dashboard for the whole company from Excel.
What kinds of questions can he answer from my numbers?
How many people to hire next quarter. Which prices leave money on the table. Which customers are about to leave. How much inventory to order and when. Whether you can afford the expansion. If the answer lives in your sales, accounting, or operations data, it can be found and put in plain language.
What size company is the right fit?
Owner-led small and medium-sized businesses. Big enough to be sitting on real data; small enough that there's no analytics department to dig through it. If you're the owner and the numbers land on your desk, click below to book a free strategy call.
How long does an engagement take?
That depends on the scope — and on whether it's a one-time project or an ongoing data-analysis agreement. Either way, the scope is set before any work starts.
What does it cost?
Projects are scoped and priced after the free call — a flat fee, whether it's a one-time project or a monthly data-analysis agreement. You'll know the full cost before committing. No retainers, no hourly meter.
Still have a question? Bring it to the call.
